The Second International Conference on Soft Computing and Data Mining (SCDM-2016)

Approved Special Session

1. EMTA: Ensemble Methods and Their Applications

Introduction & Aim

During the past decade, ensemble methods have been developed as a practical and effective solution for a variety of challenging problems in term of complexity of real-world data. The main aim of ensemble method is to integrate and combine many individual models to achieve better and more importantly highly reliable performance. A wide number of techniques and methodologies for ensemble methods and algorithms have been proposed in the past years. However, there are still issues such as diversity measures, combination strategies, number of based classifiers, types of ensemble, and performance measures that can be further improved for constructing an effective ensemble. This special session is intended to bring the researchers to report their findings on the ensemble methods or multi classifier systems in various applications.

2. WMSS 2016: Web Mining, Services and Security

Introduction & Aim

This workshop provides the opportunity for researchers to present their recent work on web mining, services and security. Both are important fields as they largely defined the Internet nowadays. The Web mining, services, and security technologies will redefine the way that companies do business and exchange information in twenty-first century. Ongoing issues in web mining, services, and security including performance of data mining in web, scalability, mobile adaptation, service integration, energy efficiency, and many others are still on the quest. On the other hand the security issues will always grow to preserve integrity with the new requirements that comes over the time.
